Wanda Phipatanakul

Principal Investigator (Asthma), Steering Committee Member

Wanda Phipatanakul, MD is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and Director of the Asthma Clinical Research Center at the Boston Children’s Hospital.  Dr. Phipatanakul's research focuses on her own NIH funded school and home-based community inner-city asthma studies her role as the Boston Pediatric PI of several NIH funded asthma/allergy clinical research networks and multi-center clinical trials targeting prevention and novel therapies, and is overall PI of a 7 year multi-center NIH asthma prevention grant targeting allergy and IgE in allergic, wheezing toddlers.

 

Her role in PEPR is the PI for the School Inner-City Asthma Intervention Study (SICAS2) leveraging her trial to validate patient reported outcomes. She is also leading a geocoding infrastructure opportunity core for PEPR and holds an NIH K-24 mentoring award to provide continued support in launching junior faculty to NIH funded clinical research careers.
